Greetings from your Potentate and 1st Lady.

Greetings Nobles and Friends,

I would like to take this time to reach out to every noble and supporter of Crescent Shrine and introduce myself.

My name is Donald Tuttle and the new Potentate for Crescent Shrine. I understand that due to numerous factors such as extended distances and health we may have never meet so I wanted to take this time to tell you a little about me.

First, I would like to introduce you to my wife and First Lady Bonnie Tuttle. We have been married for over 32 years and she is very active within the masonic family. Bonnie can be found at just about every shrine event that is open to family. She accompanies me to open shrine club meetings throughout the state along with other masonic events that are open to spouses.

I really do not like talking about myself, but I need to make an exception so the nobles who do not personally know their newly installed Potentate can get to know me.

My masonic journey began in 1980 when I was initiated into the Order of DeMolay in 1980 (MC of Excelsior Chapter 1984). I joined Mantua Lodge #95 in Mantua New Jersey and in 2011 had the pleasure of serving as master of the lodge. I am a member of the Scottish Rite (Southern Valley) and have been involved in many events over the years. I also currently serve as an appointed officer for the Grand Lodge of New Jersey and have been serving since 2013.

After joining Crescent Temple, I found a good camaraderie among the nobles and this experience led me to run for and be elected as the Outer Guard. After being elected to Outer Guard I attended executive training in Tampa Florida. After being elected to Assistant Rabban I attended the next phase of executive training along with attending the membership seminar.

I will be sending out a weekly email to update everyone on events that I will be attending along with any upcoming events. These emails will be coming from me directly as I want to reach out on a more personnel and direct manner.

This year will be challenging as we still are under the cloud of COVID19. God willing, we will emerge from this pandemic and thrive as a shrine.
